Dog walking in Tarbock from £13
Tell us about your dog — same-day reply.
Tarbock is a semi-rural corner of Knowsley — green lanes, working farms and open country right on the city's edge — and for a dog it's close to ideal. There's proper countryside to explore rather than the usual pavement loop, and we're the insured local pair who'll help yours enjoy it safely. We're Heather and Jake, and Tail Trek Adventures is our L35 dog-walking service.
Whatever the walk, it's the same two of us every time, small settled groups, and a photo with a few honest lines once your dog is home. We don't hide behind an app or an agency — we're locals who love this, plain and simple.
Stadt Moers Country Park is right on the doorstep and our go-to for a big day out — 220 acres of woodland, meadow and wetland, the largest country park in Knowsley, with plenty of room for a long off-lead run where it's safe and quiet corners for a dog who'd rather keep to itself. There's enough variety here that no two visits ever feel the same.
For a calmer outing, the village greens and low-traffic lanes around Tarbock Green are hard to beat — peaceful, unhurried walking that suits older dogs and nervous ones who find a busy park overwhelming. It's on-lead country-lane walking at its gentlest, all hedgerows and birdsong.
When a dog has miles in its legs, Halewood Triangle — a former railway line turned country park nearby — is made for a proper trek, a long straightforward trail with easy going underfoot. Rotating between the three keeps walks interesting and lets us match the distance and pace to your dog's age, energy and confidence.
Rural life still has its hectic mornings, and a dog shouldn't be left waiting through them. Group walks, solos, puppy calls and drop-ins all fit around your hours, with free collection and drop-off from your Tarbock door and a free meet and greet first. The park and trails get genuinely muddy after rain, so towels are always aboard and your dog comes home clean; in summer we lean on the shaded woodland and the cooler parts of the day.
Everything your dog needs, right here in Tarbock.
