Dog walking in Knotty Ash from £13
Tell us about your dog — same-day reply.
Knotty Ash is best known for Ken Dodd's tall tales, but anyone who lives here knows it for something quieter — the amount of green tucked between its 1930s semis and terraced streets, more than most newcomers expect. It makes for easy, varied dog walking, and we're the insured local duo who'll keep your dog well-exercised across L14. We're Heather and Jake of Tail Trek Adventures.
We keep things personal: the same walker each time, small friendly groups, and a photo with a proper update once your dog is home. There's no app and no agency in the middle — just two locals who genuinely love this work.
Springfield Park is the local jewel and our first choice most days — 22 acres of open lawns, wooded corners and natural pools right beside Alder Hey, with easily enough room for a proper run where it's safe and sensible. It's big enough that a boisterous dog never feels hemmed in and a shy one always has space to keep its distance.
When a dog fancies a change of scene, Knotty Ash Wood is a shady pocket made for a slow, nose-down explore, cooler on hot afternoons and full of interesting smells. It stays on-lead here — closer, calmer walking that suits dogs who find the wide-open parks a bit much.
Bright Park is a real haunt for local dogs and their walkers, handy for a shorter loop when time is tight or your dog just needs to stretch its legs. Rotating between the three means no two weeks feel quite the same, and we match the route to your dog's age, energy and confidence rather than forcing the same lap every day.
Between work and family life around East Prescot Road, a dog shouldn't be left waiting all day. Group walks, one-to-ones, puppy calls and drop-ins all bend around your schedule, with free collection and drop-off from your door and a free meet and greet before anything's booked. After rain the wooded corners get muddy, so towels come too and your dog heads home clean.
Everything your dog needs, right here in Knotty Ash.
